E-Mail: Resources from Connections
Because e-mail provides a basic channel for much of the interpersonal
communciation that takes place on the Net, we think that students should become
familiar with not only the logistics, but also the applications of e-mail .
In Chapter Twelve, we discuss ways of using e-mail to interact with other
students and instructors. In adddition to contacts and correspondence, we suggest
that students use e-mail to share and review each other's work. For more
information, see

on the Commercialization of the Olympics
In Chapter Thirteen we look at ways of using e-mail to interact with people
outside the confines of the classroom. Using e-mail discussion lists, students
can engage in debates with professionals and experts concerning a number of
topics. Our terminology in Chapter Thirteen is geared toward newsgroups, but you should
be able to apply the strategies that we discuss to your e-mail interactions as well.
