Meet the Author

Roland De Wolk teaches at San Francisco State University's Journalism Department, where he created the University's first online journalism curriculum and the first original online journalism production course in the nation.

He has also taught news writing, reporting, depth reporting and History of Journalism.

Roland De Wolk was a newspaper reporter for 15 years, has been published in newspapers and magazines around the world, is the author of two other books and is now a television news producer in charge of indepth and investigative reports.

He is a member of the New Media Executive Roundtable, established by the Society of Professional Journalists; was an Inaugural Fellow for the Freedom Forum's New Media Technologies program and is the recipient of many regional, state and national journalism awards.

Roland De Wolk is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he still lives. He has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, South America and Australia.

He is married and has two sons.
