PlanABC is an experimental budget planning and management tool designed for use by current and prospective college students. Future versions may also include other user groups.

The primary goal of the software is to reduce the likelihood a student will need to drop out or fail to attend college due to either controllable or negotiable financial conditions. As a secondary goal, the software also tries to increase the probability of student planning by providing innovative features designed to attract even less motivated students.

The program introduces a highly-automated planning interface that has reengineered the way budget planning and manipulation is performed. Armed with this powerful tool, students are now able to explore complex budgeting scenarios at fantastic speed and with minimal effort. It is hoped that this will enable them to plan their way through financial hardships and still leave plenty of time for study.

There is also an entire assortment of special features designed to help students manage the intricacies of budget planning on their own terms.
