The fourth edition of the Graziano and Raulin Research Methods textbook has an available CD supplement. This supplement can be packaged with the text if your instructor has ordered it that way or it may be purchased separately through your bookstore or directly from the publisher. Listed below are samples of some of the features of the CD. We have included the index and the table of contents to give you are better idea of the range of resources available on the CD.
This is the overview page from the CD supplement. It describes the main features and organization of the CD.
This is the index for the CD. It allows you to quickly find any of the many resources that are on the CD. Please note that in the actual index on the CD, each of these entries are links directly to the information, so that you are never more than a click or two away from what you are looking for.
This is an overview table of contents. It organizes the resources of the CD according to broad topics. This sample lists the table of contents, but the links to these various topics are inoperative.
We have integrated this CD supplement with the textbook. Each time a resource exists on the CD, an icon with a code number appears in the left margin of the text. This table of contents organizes the material according to the icon. You can click on the code numbers within each chapter to go directly to the resource. If you want to get a brief description of the resources for a given chapter, you can click on the chapter number and the descriptions of each of the referenced CD units is presented. The version here allows you to view the descriptions of each of the units for each chapter, but the links to the actual resource have been disabled.
The entire Study Guide for this text has been included on the CD. Much of the Study Guide is interactive. We have included a description of the Study Guide and all the resources for Chapter 2 in this sample.
We wrote a random-number generator program to assist in the random selection and assignment of participants in studies. We have included in this sample the directions for its use.
The CD supplement contains a working copy of SPSS for Windows (Student Edition). This program is fully functioning and will operate for one year after it is installed by the student. We have included an extensive tutorial on its use, which involves the analysis of data presented in the text. In this sample, we include several of these tutorials.
