In this fourth edition of Graziano and Raulin, we have included one of the finest packages of supplementary material available with any research methods text. We have dozens of extended discussions of material in the text, all referenced in the text with a code for quick and easy access. We have included a free interactive Study Guide. This resource, if provided at all by other publishers, is normally available only at additional cost.

We have included a brief tutorial on using both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer for those with only limited familiarity with these programs.

Dozens of specific resources on the CD are referenced throughout the text with a CD icon in the margin and a code number. For example, 05:03 would be the third supplement for Chapter 5. This menu item provides quick and easy access to each of those items. You can also browse brief descriptions of each item for a chapter by clicking on the chapter number.

Study Guide

We have converted our entire Study Guide, once sold separately, into an interactive online resource for students. The glossary and other resources on this CD are integrated into the Study Guide to make it an even more valuable resource.

Library Research

This menu item provides a valuable tutorial on library research, with special emphasis on using electronic resources for locating relevant background research.

APA Style

We have included a brief tutorial on APA publication style, as well as an extensive reference source for the most common elements of APA style needed for student papers. We believe that this section will not only help with writing papers in this course, but with papers in any other psychology course you take.

Random Number Generator

We have written a random number generator program that will randomly select participants from a pool of potential participants or randomly assign participants to conditions or to specific a orders of conditions in a within-subjects design. The random orders generated are written to a text file, which can be easily read with Notepad and printed out for later use.

SPSS

The package for this text includes a working copy of SPSS for Windows. We have included a brief tutorial on its use to supplement the tutorial that is part of the SPSS for Windows package. We have also included examples of numerous statisitical computations using SPSS, which are carefully coordinated with the textbook.

Glossary

The entire glossary for the textbook was included on the CD and linked to key terms in the Study Guide. The Glossary is also available in the text in a more traditional format.
