When to Use Each Method
Correlational Method
- When we are interested in knowing the strength of a relationship for predictive purposes
- Often included in larger research studies to provide data that might help us interpret the primary findings of the study
Differential Research
- When the manipulation of an independent variable is impractical, impossible, or unethical
