Revise the following sentences to correct problems with unclear pronoun references, pronoun agreement, and subject and verb agreement. Write your changes in the spaces provided between the lines of text, using carets (^) to show additions and crossing out words you wish to omit.
- The committee argued about the new administrative policy; this is unrealistic.
- What is the number and status of employees in the Sports Information Department?
- If anyone becomes ill, they are to notify the Employee's Health Care Center.
- Either peat or hydroelectric power are a potential energy source in Minnesota.
- The mass media has publicized the facts; the data amazes everyone.
- Everybody on the planning committee must hand in their list of suggestions before tomorrow.
- The Board of Directors is meeting now. They are trying to decide upon a new location for the plant.
- Making these changes will allow us to meet our mailing deadlines, retain customer goodwill, simplify the bookkeeping process, and reduce filing errors. Therefore, this will improve the efficiency and morale of the bookkeeping department.
- The main problem with the Delray Company is that they are always a month late in paying.
- Only 52% of the projected taxes have been collected.
