The following sentences include errors in their use of numbers and figures. Edit the sentences as needed.

  1. 482 employees were enrolled in the discrimination training.

  2. Jan Voeltz supervises 86 employees on the graveyard shift, including eight managers and eight assistant managers.

  3. Twenty four percent of those surveyed had worked no overtime last month.

  4. Only 1/3 of the respondents used all of the sick pay allotted to them by contract.

  5. The error rate for production runs on January 15 was five and a half percent.

  6. The calculator weighed two pounds and measured four inches by 6 inches.

  7. Production increased twenty percent in 1998.

  8. Sales of the new day planner are predicted to exceed 20 million in the next biennium.

  9. Training was planned in 20 locations in the Great Lakes region, including four sites in Illinois, five in Wisconsin, four in Michigan, four in Minnesota, and three in Indiana.

  10. This past quarter, sales of the software exceeded fifty million, an increase of eight percent over last quarter.
