Sternberg's Triarchic Theory of Love

Robert Sternberg has developed a theory of love that is based on the constructs of intimacy, passion, and commitment. According to Sternberg, these three elements may be combined in various ways to form eight different kinds of liking/loving relationships. Your task in this exercise is to indicate in the table below how these different elements combine to form these relationships. Across the top of the table are listed the three elements. Down the left side of the table are listed the eight different kinds of relationships. At the intersection of each row and column is a box. If one of the elements exists in a given relationship write "yes" in the corresponding box.
