Todd W. Kent
Princeton University

Todd Kent is a program administrator for the Teacher Preparation Program at Princeton University where he works closely with student teachers and is co-instructor of a course on teaching theory and methodology. Kent graduated from the University of Virginia in 1997 with a doctorate in educational evaluation. His specialty is the use of technology in teacher education and classroom instruction. He has taught courses on the use of computers and other media to preservice teachers and has been involved in several projects combining case-based instruction with telecommunication technology.

Before coming to Virginia, Kent worked at an independent school in Potomac, Maryland, where he enjoyed a variety of responsibilities which included teaching middle and high school science, heading the science department, and directing the upper school division. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from Princeton University and a master's degree in the social foundations of education from the University of Virginia. Todd met his wife, Mary Jane, while at Princeton. His main hobby is chasing after his four wonderful children (Colleen, Maggie, Sean, and Katie), although the occasional fly fishing outing provides an additional distraction.
