Amelia Klein is an associate professor of Education at Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts. She received a Ed.D. from Boston University in early childhood education. A recipient of her college’s Cynthia Longfellow Teaching Award, she continues to search for innovative and effective teaching/learning approaches which will prepare her students to become competent (and blissful) teachers of young children. Klein is member of the executive board of WACRATM - World Association for Case Method Research and Application. In her role as an active learner of case methodology, she has authored numerous papers, articles and chapters on case teaching, and has organized and directed interactive symposia for educators in Eastern Europe. She is currently investigating cross-cultural applications of case-based teaching. Her interests include: travel (inspired by John Steinbeck’s Travels with Charlie in high school), hosting international conferences, the study of humor, and young children everywhere.
